When one visits the site, it appears to be a humble, idyllic colonial settlement situated along a lush river basin. One finds a historic 17th-century home, a reconstructed blast furnace, forge, and waterwheel, along with a few outbuildings and interpretive displays. But this peaceful setting had an impact beyond measure, for it served as the birthplace of the American iron and steel industries, enterprises that would go on to help the U.S. become a global trading partner, the manufacturing hub of the 20th century, and the victor in both World Wars. A hand-rendered illustration styled after the vintage poster art of the 20th century, this design is available as a poster, framed print, metal sign, canvas, or as a set of notecards or postcards. This original national park art and travel art would look great on any wall in the home, or at the workplace.
